In September, 2016, we took our annual start-of-the-year camping adventure to Baker City, Oregon, and camped in the Union Creek Campground. While camp itself was great fun (and great food), the best part was getting to take a train ride from McEwin Station to Sumpter Junction…a trip that got a bit more exciting than expected when an old fashioned train robbery took place!
Afterwards, we got to tour the old mining dredge, and even got a backstage look at the trainyard.
